Nikelle Johnson -- Director of Christian Education
Nikelle Johnson grew up in Midland. A graduate of Hope College and Western Theological Seminary with a Master's Degree in religious education, Nikelle was excited to join the staff of Chapel Lane in July 2013 as the Director of Christian Education. She brings a variety of ministry experience with her, including six years working in inner-city Jackson, Mississippi, at Habitat for Humanity/Metro Jackson and Voice of Calvary Ministries. Nikelle is pleased to have the opportunity to use her love of crafts to help creatively teach about God's love. In her spare time she enjoys knitting, crocheting, stamping and scrapbooking, and has recently added quilting to her repertoire.
Nikelle also works with One Door Ministries, an organization whose goal is to provide discipleship and evangelism resources for oral cultures. She teachs the Explorers and Discoverers classes at Memorial Presbyterian Preschool.
Joyce R. Glover -- Office Administrator
Joyce was employed by AT&T in New York and Cincinnati as a programmer and manager. After retiring in 1998 after 29 years of service, she worked as a project manager for Toyota, as a technical writer for an internet startup company and as an accountant for First Student, Inc. Joyce brought her broad experience to serve Chapel Lane as our Office Administrator in August of 2003.
Joyce is a single mother of two: a college-age son who lives in Ohio and a daughter who lives with Joyce (along with four grandsons!), and she has two sisters who live on her street. Joyce loves her close-knit family and thinks Midland is a great place to raise a family. She enjoys Bible study, sewing, crocheting and traveling; in fact, Joyce has visited 33 of the 50 United States as well as 16 foreign countries.
Joyce’s life and well-being is sustained by the knowledge that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13.
